Does anyone else have a noticeable whining noise coming from their fuel pump???

Yes, it's an electric pump, they tend to make whirring noises More noticeable with a low fuel level and/or at low speed.

I once asked Maverick why the fuel pump was so noisy. He replied 'The pump has to feed the hungry beast' (or was it thirsty beast)

after trying to be a real tight arse, cos i'm from yorkshire and running real low on fuel i noticed that when brakeing the fuel pump starts screaming....thereby indicating that it is starved of fuel.

also mine was noisy a few months ago for no reason but now it's behaving itself again.

make of it what you like !

trying to hold on to your money a bit longer -

by running the pump dry, it'll cost you in the long run -

the fuel lubes it
