There's a number of threads on this issue it's obviously a known fault by BMW but there not bothered about replacing the strip, I knew about it before I bought my triple black a month ago but still bought it I just use the trip counter now!

Is it me? or does anybody else think this is not acceptable?
Anyway will be talking to bmw complaints department I'll let you know
how I go on.

1200's

I wouild say it was unaceptable but then you look back at the earlier 1200's
all the problems with ring antennas and fuel pump controlers all ridiculous.

I think they have on the twin cam:beerjug:

my 2010 TC went dicky once but has been fine since being back under warranty.

Does make you nervous about trusting it though given the quantity of complaints about it. So I always use the trip meter as well. Kinda defeats the object though
