Hi all, just been to shops on bike and on returning to bike it would not start. Bike was turning over fine but would not fire. There was plenty of fuel in tank and after a period of about 20 minutes of trying bike finally fired up and I managed to get home, bike ran ok. Once previously bike has just cut out and taken a while to get started and then ran rough for a short period. Is there anything obvious I should look at? Would it be worth some sort of petrol additive to clean fuel system? Any ideas/advise would be greatly appreciated.

Darren, what year is your 12GS & what's the mileage?

Does sound like the FPC.

Easy to fix, cost me approx £65 to buy a spare in 2006 but I've not had to swap mine yet.

Year/mileage

Hi, it is a 2005 with 22,000 miles on the clock.

Thanks for your help, I will buy a spare and carry it if it happens again. Any ideas on best/cheapest place to buy from?
