Dear forum

Saw a baglux tank cover for sale on the forum, which is from a std GS 1200 - will it fit a GSA 1200?

May seem like a daft question in light of the tank volumes being different, but is the actual fixture area of the tank a different size?

Thx in advance :D

Thx for the info, I'll keep my eyes peeled.

I've got a sneaky suspicion that the top tank part is the same size on both, and that the side fuel pods is where the difference is realised.:D

Keith, my last plain 1200 had a Baglux cover and I reckon theres little chance of it being compatible with the adventure tank due to the difference in side panels as suggested. My current GSA tank is quite a bit different in shape to the earlier GS tank.

Why not look on the Baglux site and see if the part numbers are different ??

Thx Adam, will do a bit of checking on the internet :thumb2

Baglux tank covers

These covers are very close fitting; for instance a cover for a 2007 GS will not fit a GS 2008. There is no mystery about this - just go onto the baglux website and see if the part numbers are the same; if they are not IT WON'T FIT.

I now have the part no.s, but alas, didn't get them from the baglux web site..:augie

Thx all for your help :thumb2

So whats the answer Keith, are they the same or different ??

I tried the bagster site, couldn't even find the 1200 which is odd as I had a tank cover in 2004 for my 1200 ??

The answer

Baglux make three different models for the 1200GS : 04-07, 08-10 and one for the GSA. That is clear enough?
