Folks,

Anyone carried out a tank swap from the smaller 20ltr job to the 33ltr adventure??

I found this http://www.r1200gs.info/howto/tank-conversion.html but cant tell if you can still use the same side panels so if its simply the than that changes??

Any ideas??

Also say for my 2011 bike is it the same tank that can be used from any year 2006 through adventure??

Cheers
Mark

More that a few on here so have a search. Get a TC tank and save the hassle and cost. Early TC and Hexhead had different bits in them like the fuel strip instead of float. You can't use a strip sender, it simply won't work. You will save money in the long run buying the proper tank. You will also need all the bits of plastic that goes round the tank and it's a different frame that holds all these bits of plastic on, small frame at the front not the big subframe.
It will cost you a fair bit just to get extra fuel but if that's what your after then go for it.
