Hi all,

('04 1150 gsa)

Over last couple of months I've noticed that when I start the bike on the side stand to warm up a little whilst I shut the garage door ie. about 30 seconds all is good. However when I then get on and bring it up to the vertical, it will quite often struggle and then die. It will restart and runs fine but just wondered if anyone else has experienced this and if so was there a reason other than fuel levels shifting in the tank. As far as I can tell it would appear to happen at any fuel level.

I only ask out of interest as am going through a period of maintenance at the mo and wondered if there is something else I should add to the list ie. fuel pump to check.

Any thoughts much appreicated.

maybe try putting it on the main stand?

Also, if on the side stand, any water in the tank would be over on the left. it's heavier than petrol so might rush over to the other side (side of the pump) when the bike is brought upright and briefly cause it to stall a bit?

Just hazarding a guess. I'm sure someone you can trust will be along soon!

Mine has been known to do that. Just done some remedial work (Read my recent thread) and I am hoping that litt;e trait will be gone now.

That's a good point as it does create a lot of 'white' exhaust for a short while afterwards which may well be steam based as it were. I'll check that.
