Well Shes all back in one bit been for a 100 mile jaunt round the peak district today bit smell at first but all good now and as you can see the paint has not lifted or dulled
and this is me mates bike I did a full respray on over winter need to find another project now lol

spray painting thats a skill I'd like to have, paint bit I can do its the clear coat bit I screw up.

Have to take the exhaust off mine one day and give that a try.... seems like you have some similar gear to myself, I have a small plating kit too which I'm going to treat some of the GS bolts to... unfortunately I don't have your ability when it comes to paint though!

you sure about it not needing to be heat resistant paint? 
i`m doing the same to mine and have a custom colour in mind as heat resistant colour range is too restrictive

Well I have only done a 100 miles up to now and a lot of the original paint/powder coat? on the cylinders was ok just rubbed it down and painted straight on to it the other areas that striped back to ally I have etch primed but the paint I used is professional stuff which is meant to be baked in an oven so I figure running the engine is like baking it in an oven
Oh and another point you need to sweat the water out of the bare ally just get a blow torch and play the flame on the ally b 4 you paint it will sweat loads of water out of it
