Fused advise please

Do you need to have a inline fuse when using a bmw aux plug and socket to power up a street pilot 3 on the bike.

I don't believe so Bob - the socket itself is fused (I should know I've blown the thing often enough with a dodgy optimate.)

A SP III fuse is normally 1.5 amps - the fuse that BMW supplies for the power outlet might be bigger than that. I wouldn't worry too much about it, as long as you do have a fuse somewhere.
