When i turn off my 276c the clock stops on the unit...When you turn it back on the clock ( time ) is wrong until it locks on then the clock puts itself wright...Ie if you turn it off at say 9 oclock and turn it back on at 10 the clock says the time is a couple of minutes past 9 untill it locks on then it will correct itself....I called Garmin they were not sure if that was correct or not :nenau ...My 5 does not do this nor does my 176c...Could you please try this with your 276c and let me know so i will know if i have a problem
Thanks Garry :thumb

Mine Niether. 4.10 firmware.

Firmware revision ???

The time is taken from the satelites and saved so the clock is running constantly, check the time zone you're set to it should be Western europe WET.

Thanks for the replys guys :thumb ...I have updated the software and it makes no difference...I was fairly sure the clock should not stop...Surprising i have to ask on here you would think Garmin support would Know :nenau

Is there a little internal battery that keeps the clock going? If so could that be flat?

I suspected someting like this could be the problem so I took away the battery pack for an hour and guess what - the clock still worked and was on time when I restarted the 276.

My conclusion is yes, there is a battery somewhere inside that runs the clock and it's probably dead. Best solution is maybe to send the unit to Garmin Service to get it fixed? :nenau

I left the 276 off all weekend...When i turned it on again the date said 01-01-0000 time 0000 as soon as it locked on agian which it needed to do a autolocate to find the sats ( took 2 mins ) the date and time were corrected... This cant be correct
