Hi,
I am returning to the fold after a year or so without a GS. Have to by all the kit again including a GPS. Does anyone have any experience using a Garmin 296 on a GS (or other bike for that matter). Have tried the search function without any luck..

I need a GPS that will fit on my ADV and into an aircraft and the 296 fits the bill, except the online 'bumf' doesn't say much about the automotive bit.... Just thought I'd ask!

Thanks,

Harry

That could be entertaining if you get the modes mixed up........

Turn heading 270 degrees..... descend and maintain 3000......

then, in 500 yards, take the first left at the roundabout. :D

Go for it, great GPS, but you'll pay extra for the maps. (you knew that anyway) I would have bought the 276 years ago but once I factored in the map price I did not.
