Garmin Quest bundle

Hi, simple question I hope . is the Questbundle from GPS Warehouse suitable for the R1200GS handlebars & is the mount suitable for the Garmin/RAM cable when available.

I ask because I haven't got the bike yet (APRIL Y,G,B) but SWMBO wants a GPS for the car earlier.

>> The Kits has a RAM-B-149Z u-bolt mount and RAM-HOL-GA15 cradle. If you look at other Forum threads, I recall cookie & eddy802 doing samething on a 1200GS a couple of months back and the guys posted some images. So as far as I know - yes it works.

.. & is the mount suitable for the Garmin/RAM cable when available...
>> as far as I know, the Garmin cable is just that, the voltage regulator is in their (Garmin) cradle, so probably of no use. The GPSW Quest cable shall have a inline block with voltage regulator and audio amp. The connector casing will marry onto the slot at the rear of the RAM-HOL-GA15 and be locked with a small screw (TORX or Phillips, or flathead - its still tbd).
