I was in my local PC World yesterday and saw they were selling the Quest for £280. It looked a good price to me, unless someone else knows different :)

I agree, cheapest I have seen them is £329, of course you realise Bob that you are encouraging me to spend money that I ain't got :(

Although PC World don't seem to have it for sale online :nenau

Got mine with the bike kit from GPSW for £350. Top marks for service :)

Although it was a brand new unit it was shipped and loaded with V6. Ihave sent an email to Garmin upgrade line and I am entitled to a free upgrade to at least version 7 although judging by some other osts on here I may well get V8 (here's hoping).

Any of the group are doing it for that price (that's PC World, Dixons,Link, Curries etc etc)

All of them have a link to each other's stock holdings too, so if the branch you go to hasn't got one in stock, ask them nicely and thery'll tell you the nearest that does have it in.

If it includes reasonably up to date maps (v7?) I'd say that's a damn good price!
If it was bought as a package after Nov 2004 , you can get a free update to V7 from Garmin.

Register the product then send your customer ID to the addie on the Garmin site http://www.garmin.com in the updates section. I bought my Quest a couple of months ago , and registered it on Saturday ... my new software is on it's way.

Ignore the above .... Doh - too many others replied... hmmm wonder if I will get V.8...
