Garmin SP111

As a GPS virgin who has been given the above kit I am trying to get to grips with it. So far so good but...I keep seeing GPS location info lat and long etc on websites for digs which I can't seem to find a way to input into the machine. I have read the manual several times but it still eludes me. Q. can it be done with this model? If so how. If not I'll ignore it and carry on.

You're quite correct, there doesn't appear to be anyway to input a Lat / Long location on the SPIII.

So, you're left with the option of finding it in Mapsource and then sending it to the GPS unit. Remember - maps go to the data card and routes, waypoints and POI's go to the unit's internal memory.
