Hi guys,

got my refurbished SP3 last week and have played around with it for a bit off the bike. Havent actually had the time to test on the road.

I would like to use the SP to create a roadbook of the local byways that do not appear on the Mapsource software. What would be the best way to import them? Ride the lanes and log the tracks? is there another way?

Many thanks

Using MapSource on your PC (set in British Grid mode), you could create waypoints at the start and end of each green lane using OS map references and create an off-road route between them. If ends up as a straight line, but would work well enough until you have an actual track log.

Using track log:

Using start/finish waypoints:

As Above

Thats exactly the way I do it, the worse thing is to keep having to change from off road to on road calculation routing or else it works out the route from waypoint to waypoint via road rahter than the green lane.

Thanks guys!!!

Ok I created the waypoints, road-routes and extended them to the off-road routes... What is the next step? There is like 20 routes to cover ther whole round trip of the lanes. If I upload the lot to the gpsr will it read them in succession?
