Garmin Zumo / 26xx-29xx security screw

Without wishing to appear a muppet - how do you get the old screw out? It's a 2610 not a Zumo, and once the screw is loosened it just keeps turning, presumably on a captured nut.

Everyone else seems to have managed OK so I'm sure it's just me:o

Zumo Security Screw

Hi Nick

Did you get some more screws - I need One

Cheers
Andy

What, just lift it with a flat blade or pin nose pliers?
I used pin nose pliers. You'll hear a 'crack' and the old security screw will ping across the garage floor never to be seen again :D (well it did with me)

When I ordered one of these screws, had problems with delivery. i.e. it didn't arrive after two weeks.

Anyway, contacted Bert - the guy who deals with the 2610 screws - who was horrified that it hadn't turned up and promptly sent a replacement F.O.C,which subsequently arrived within 5 days.

Couple of weeks later another letter from Holland turns up containing a 2610 screw - looking the worse for wear, covered in sellotape and bearing a month old postmark.

So, genuine guys supplying a very useful piece of kit. Recommended.

Spare Zumo Replacement Screw?

Does anyone have one on these spare in the UK? It's to fit a Zumo 550.

Heading off to Spain next weekend and would like to lose the Zumo screwdriver thingy if possible.

Thanks
