For sale is my Garmin Zumo 550. Comes with everything you need to mount to a bike (or car).

Mounting cradle, with all important Garmin weird locking screwdriver thingy.....
Spare mounting cradle, unfortunately wires were cut, but there's only two and could easily be re-joined.
Zumo 550 with full Europe maps installed (2015).

RAM short extension connector.
RAM ball mount bolted to complete mounting cradle.
Car screen stick on mount and mounting ball
Various extra top/bottom covers for Zumo itself.
Tough carrying case.
Mains plugs & adaptors for separate charging off bike.
Separate cigarette lighter power lead.
PC connection lead.
Full instructions.

All in original box, all in good condition (some items never used). Unit is currently registered to myself, I will de-register it on successful sale. Owned by me from new. Never raced or rallied, but extensively toured all over Europe :D

Looking for just £75 plus postage at cost (probably somewhere around £6 - £8).

As an entry level nav its ideal,

It has some limitations, that cannot be overcome - Bluetooth is mono only, due to the chip used - so no SW hacking I'm afraid

other than that

Don't know this model at all....I assume (but we know how that goes) you can load Routes and Tracks on the unit ?

The last Garmin maps for this are July 2024 2025.10 is the map set so relatively recent. But it will no longer load all of Europe even if you have an MicroSD card in the unit. This seems to be limited by Garmin Express. I have the same issue with an old NAV iV. However, if you were going on a tour and wanted say a good bit of France or a route down to Croatia or something you can load the required map tiles using Map install in Basecamp up to a limit of 4gb for any particular map set. You can have multiple map sets loaded on multiple microSD cards that you can change and enable/disable on the unit. So the limitations of the unit would not limit your ability to have map coverage for anywhere as required. The unit will also take up to date "Garminised" Open Street Map maps. There is a how to on this site in the GPS section.

They are great little units and you can easily load all of UK and Ireland on the internal memory (Garmin maps) and the parts of Europe you might want to travel through on a micro SD card. Or if using OSM maps pop them on a micro SD card. Good luck with the sale.

Apologies, I've been away a bit and missed this. Yes it's the same as any Garmin unit (except the XT) in that you can connect it to your PC and load routes you've created in Basecamp directly onto it. Or you can load them onto the SD card and install them on the unit.

Open to offers! ;) :D
