I am planning on going just waiting for tickets to become available.

I was led to believe that the festival was a ticket only event, I assume by your question I am wrong.

No tickets needed. Just turn up pick a spot to camp and pay your €7 for the weekend. Went last year, really good fun. Great entertainment and some good ride outs on test ride bikes.

Cheers Lucky08, we would have been waiting a long time:tears:tears:tears

We are planning just to be there for the Saturday and have booked a hotel close by

Would be interested in going again this year for more of the same:jager

Great stuff... I've not been before and am looking forwards to it this year.
If guys want to meet up at the tunnel? ferry ? or at the Garmish venue.
Just post your preferences.

I've been 3 times before and I'd be interested in going again if u can let me know ur plans on route etc. I would've normally go the Newcastle boat on the Monday and take 3 days to get there for Thursday so if I can find out ur plans cheers Tim.

I camped around 200 from ferry on the Tuesday then headed south of baden baden stayed in a place called pension Williams then headed to Garmisch-Partenkirchen via b500 ;-) on the Thursday

I just found out about it. I will be in Europe for 3 months. This is something I would like to go to. Also I would be going to the plant in Berlin and the museum in Munich.

I will be landing in Amsterdam with my RT the 2nd week of June. I am intending to be at the Nordkapp on 21 June. I will be touring in North Norway for a week or so to see where my dad fought in WWII. Then I will meander to the toe of Italy. Do I have anybody that would want to join me for the three months or part of the three months. I will be both camping and doing small hotels/motels.

I'd like to go, I don't have anyone to ride with yet. I guess my preference would be to meet at Dover. I'm okay for camping at Garmisch and happy to do bricks on the way there and back.

Someone in the know suggested motorway to Strasbourg then more interesting roads thereafter.

I haven't made a full application for a pass yet.

Great , lets figure this nearer the time....Greatly looking forward to it .

I rode down to the toe of Italy and then across to Sicily on my XJR a few years ago, could point you in the direction of campsites if need be? or suggest you go to Sicily and get the ferry back up from Palermo to Livorno overnight which saves the ride back up through Italy. Also bear in mind that if you are looking to take the scenic coast roads they are very slow!

I'm planning on heading over the Grossglockner as part of a European trip (about 10-14 days) first couple of weeks in July and was planning on posting an open invite, this could fit in perfect at the start.

No touring mates so the plan was for this to be a solo trip but it would be great to meet up with some folks from here for the ride down and the Garmisch event. I usually head down from the Midlands and overnight in Calais via the tunnel.

If anyone's interested in joining me for all or just part of my onward travels further south after the event they're more than welcome. Camping will be my first choice given decent weather but I'm happy to mix in hotels to suit. Route isn't fixed yet (probably never will be) beyond the Grossglockner then taking my time down and across Northern Italy perhaps taking in one of the lakes, a quick peek at the Millau viaduct then blasting home through France and time permitting a final stop over for the Chimay Classic races.
