Can anyone please tell me if the gear lever fitted to a R1200GS Adventure is the same length as that fitted to a R1200GS? The latter measures 120mm between the centre of the selector shaft and the centre of the lever end bushing.
I've looked at the parts microfiches and cannot discern any difference other than the sprung end on the Adv lever.
Reason for the information request?
Big feet + wide Pivot Pegz = need a longer lever.
PS - dont care for either the TT or Wonderlich adjustable versions.
Thank you

The GSA has an adjustable rear brake pedal but I've never noticed an adjustable gear lever at least not on mine

Who should I complain to? :augie

the GSA lever toe piece is on an eccentric mounting, allowing a small amount of adjustment.

dunno if it's the same as a GS item :nenau

Why would the GS / GSA gear levers be of different lengths, and not interchangeable?

The fundamental differences between the GS & GSA are suspension travel & fuel tank size, not gearbox / engine / mounting points etc.

Might fit but they do have different part numbers.
GSA shift lever and brake pedal have adjust-ability that the standard GS does not.

2010 GS Foot shift lever 23 41 7 670 378
2010 GSA Shift lever 46 71 7 691 681

And the platform area of the footrests - hence the reason for my question.

After fitting 60mm wide Pivot pegz I find that trying to stuff a size 12 boot toe under the lever is not easy (pivot function notwithstanding) as the space between the front edge of the peg and the lever toe piece is now reduced by about 25mm over standard.

For all others who actually offered information to help me with my question - thank you.

Well you didn't make that clear. Put yer handbag down. Chillax mon.

Have you tried taking gear lever off the splined shaft and putting back at a different angle? This is how I adjust my gear lever on the GSA. To be honest, I didn't know the GSA had an adjustable toe lever thingy until recently.

Out of interest, why does anyone need PivotPegz on a GS?
