I had a quick shifter on my 3 K1300's and I wouldn't have bought one without it!
As I only use my GS on road I will get a quick shifter next time I change my bike, i can't get the BMW one as I have one of the superior 2013 models!!!
My mate has a quickshifter on his LC GS, and says it's brilliant off road.
I ride enduro bike exactly the same when im on a mission shifting up the box without the need to use the clutch.
I went to collect my BMW quick shitter today and was told there on back order !! Due to the high demand.

asked my dealer if QS will fit mine 2013 model. Given that I came from S1kRR Sport which had QS on it and I loved it a lot... I'm very tempted to upgrade my GS with it...

Upgrade early, the 2014 bike is a big leap forward in design and implementation
I wouldn't want to be riding a 2013, if the 2014 bike is a whole lot better and enabled

A decent clutch................and a crisp gearbox
Scrub that, with a Quickshifter you don't need a clutch whatsoever and it'll be a DSG Box
Capable of 200mph on a GS

my 2013 has same clutch and pushrod as 2014 bikes(so I was told at dealer), so it only missing steering dumper and potentially QS retrofit possibility.

In all honesty it seems BMW have made a few significant changes to the 2014 bikes
