Has anyone moved their gear shifter up so they can change when standing up. If so by how much?

Mine was far too low from new so it has gone up two notches and is fine off and on road. Depends on whether you are using Moto X cross boots though. I would "brake snake" it though if riding in ruts as it will rip out if it catches the edge of a dry rut or goes down on its side at any sort of pace.
Just have a look for Brake Snakes on Enduro or Moto X sites an make your own out of cabling ( push bike braided brake or gear cable) and some electrical connectors. I may have pics somewhere if you need some.
