Gearbox Potentiometer 2006

Thanks not as simple as that im afraid Vin relates to 04 bike which now had 06 play box fitted so 04 potentiometer no good to 06 plate // if some one could answer this rather then pointing out the obvious that would be great

Now if only you had pointed that out in your original post :blast

I had the same part replaced on my own 06my GSA but I'm nowhere near the paperwork to check the Part No

If you ask a Moderator to post this in the correct forum you may get a better/quicker response :clap

Whats a "throttle potentiometer"? :nenau

Sounds like something that might be in my carburettor, but.........

:D

When I had problems with mine, I removed it and dried it out on the radiator over night. Then filled it with wd40.

It's been fine ever since.

Just had mine off today after spurious gear indications. E10 torx spanner for the 2 retaining bolts. Split switch open and cleaned with wd40. Coated both o rings with plenty of silicone grease and refitted the switch. Now working perfectly.
If it fails again, I'll probably replace as the tracks inside looked well worn.

Just had mine replaced on a 2006 GS at Williams in Manchester and the invoice quotes C23.00.7.711.960 018973 REGULATOR and two new C23.00.7.681.469 bolts.

Might just have been my imagination but the gearchange actually felt better after it was fitted....bizarre! :nenau
