Gearing?

Hi there
I have an 1150 GSA and would like to know if its possible to change the gearing at all please?
Top gear gives 90 mph at about 5k rpm and I'm hoping its a feesible fix to lower the revs by either fitting a different g'box or final drive?

Has anyone done similar please?

Could you not fit a std 1150GS gearbox with it's overdrive 6th gear?

Try a 1100s or rs bevel box(I think) and they drop the revs a bit.I wouldn't bother doing anything else

Choices as follows:

• Fit a different gearbox (early 1150’s had an overdrive top gear)
• Change the ratios in your current gearbox (as above – Steptoe could do this for you if you cant)
• Change the final drive (read up on here or advrider about gear ratios)
