These, and at the other end of the bike spectrum, a large collection of Vespa parts... You could always post a question as to provenance, how's Pandy2012come to be selling them..., what's the story, so to speak.

It's amazing the number of times a red helmet has been advertised on done deal as a unwanted present for € 50 some people are chancers jjh

Reply says there not crash damaged, im just breaking the whole bike. More bits on there now.

Looks dodgy to me. Lights, forks, wheels, not sure they would be things I'd fully expect to by untouched in the event of an accident.

I'm sure if you stay tuned the rest of what can be flogged will materialise over time.

Is there a specific police dept. that deals with internet fraud and illegal activity? If there is then it's a no brainer. This needs to be brought to their attention. Nobody breaks an undamaged 2011 bike. The police will know that.

Already sold the panniers, says they come with the bike, NO keys and he only uses the top box with the bike. (A bike that he's breaking)

Whilst at first I gave the benefit of the doubt that a professionally stripped down bike would realise a lot of money (possibly exceeding the value of the bike) his ad says.... Cash on collection only.. But may be able to meet in London area.. No PayPal!!

Isn't there a bike crime unit that was about to be disbanded and then didn't get disbanded?

They must be the people to call - although I guess he will have disposed of all the traceable bits of the bike (or sold them to trusted scumbag mates) by now.

I would avoid any direct contact as he may have unsavoury associates.

Actually it wasn't that long ago that breakers were buying brand new bikes and selling them piece by piece , as it was worth 3 times in bits what is was complete. Not much has probably changed.

I seem to remember that one of the mags priced up the spare bits to build a Yamaha R6. At the time Taz motorcycles were selling new but imported R6s for either 5k or 5.6k, cant recall which but it doesn't really matter - the cost of the spares built bike was about £26 grand!!
Take out he bits that are unlikey to sell (not many of those) and sell at half price and you still stood to double or triple your money!!

Having said that - this one sounds dead dodgy!!

If you want to report it to police you can do this 2 ways. Either online https://online.met.police.uk/ or ring 101. They will create a report and it can be passed to a vehicle crime unit to look into.

Might be legitimate or maybe not but either way without reporting it, we will never know.

Hi, I just noted that someone mentioned 'didn't somebody just lose a 30th anniversary', unfortunately that was me and it was in London...no idea however if this is my bike (broken up that is), although it may not be as I didn't have the BMW luggage just a Givi topbox...still looks mightily suspicious though...Tim
