Getting LC GS 1200 ready for America trip

Seasons greetings. I hope good Christmases were had by all.

Just a follow up to this thread I'd started, I was invited to go and have a chat about the America trip and the stuff I'd done to the bike with the guys from More Bikes. Panniers, tyres, gadgets etc.

Just a chat through the mods here in case it was of interest.

There's also one about planning a trip here.

Hi Nathan, Just watched the OZ to UK video. Thank you. It's inspiring. The D place is not a good place. I know, it's where I am now. Be well and have a great 2016 and many more adventures...Ed

A bit short notice

Afternoon all,

A bit late notice I realise, but I'm doing a talk over at Wollaston BMW in Northampton about taking your own bike overseas, America predominantly but other places as well. Starts at 7pm. I believe there's going to be beer and nibbles.

Safe travels
Nathan

Hey Nathan, glad you enjoyed our country!
It really is super E Z to get around on our side of the Pond. As far as getting a foreign vehicle into our country,I have no idea.
I can't believe our paths never crossed.
Last year between Alaska Canada and all the western states,a little over 18,000 miles I never seen ya!
Oh well,at least you had a wonderful, enjoyable and safe trip. Cheers and congrats on the new marriage.
