BLOODY LUGGAGE

Can anyone help me out please.
Now looking at getting set of GIVI luggage for my r1150gs (51 plate).

"your not spending that much on some shagging tin boxes" was the words that came out my fair maidens gob

I know i like the E52 Maxia top box, and the E41 panniers.
But what racks would i need!!!
Not that keen on the windrack(think thats right) system, so any help would be good.
And for the love of god, where the hell do i find a price list.
Oh pics would be nice.
Cheers

I got that set-up.

You don't need the Wingrack - you have a mounting set from Calamander (http://www.calamander.co.uk/), then you just need a top mounting plate from Givi and you are there.

The side mounts are just a tube frame, rather than the whole slab of wingrack. Would take a picture for you, but am in the office.

Seem to recall that the kit was £90, plus the top plate I already had, which I think are about £15-20.

The bloke at Calamander is dead-on, so just give them a call.

I'd like to see a pic of them on the bike, especially left side!

It's not very exciting. Someone posted a load on a thread here recently I reacall - have a search.

Not worried about excitement, but how far the bugger on the left hangs out in the air... ;)

It's not a big deal with the smaller boxes on there - still narrower than the bars - or if I'm solo I put the large on the right and small on the left which is about right. I generally pack the L a bit lighter (the R then balances the can anyway), and all is fine. :thumb

Cheers BT. I've got a E45 box on the Kettle and I can use that and I had the idea that pergaps an E36 on the left and and E45 for the hairdryers and other ladeez things and sh*t could go on the right when needed.

Got to be a cheaper set up than the Zega boxes....!!

A final question for Givi owners.... does the tubular kit fit as panniers only? I fancy keeping the System top box....

Yes, the tubular kit is only for the panniers. You'd need a separate mounting plate for a Givi top box. There should be no problem to mix and match.
