We headed up to Glen Clova this afternoon for a bar lunch and to let the dog hae a run aboot Glen Doll. The Hotel grub is still rather excellent
There was no snow at Kirriemuir but once we headed up into Glen Clova it got whiter and whiter...
We intended walking up to the Corrie Fee but the snaw was so thick and walking was hard goin' so we turned around after 45 mins and headed back to the car. We met a guy and his dog at the foot of Jock's Road and he was forced back from an attempt to get to the summit of Tombuihe (a Munro) when he hit snow drifts that were waist high. It really is a different world up there. Here are a couple o' pics fae this afternnon.
Dreish didn't look too bad for snow but that is at the foot of the glen. I think the heavy set ponies are used for bringing deer down from the hills
The snaw's getting thicker...
I thought aboot cooling off wi' a bit dook but decided against it...
One of these days, I'm going to walk Jock's Road but not today...
Virgin snow
We met a Siberian woodcutter on our way back to the car (Christine's right: that moustache really has to go
)
The Glen Clova Hotel was absolutely packed which is incredible given the roads and weather. All in all, a top day oot
