We headed up to Glen Clova this afternoon for a bar lunch and to let the dog hae a run aboot Glen Doll. The Hotel grub is still rather excellent :thumb2

There was no snow at Kirriemuir but once we headed up into Glen Clova it got whiter and whiter...

We intended walking up to the Corrie Fee but the snaw was so thick and walking was hard goin' so we turned around after 45 mins and headed back to the car. We met a guy and his dog at the foot of Jock's Road and he was forced back from an attempt to get to the summit of Tombuihe (a Munro) when he hit snow drifts that were waist high. It really is a different world up there. Here are a couple o' pics fae this afternnon.

Dreish didn't look too bad for snow but that is at the foot of the glen. I think the heavy set ponies are used for bringing deer down from the hills

Ah, wee Eva (bad spelling:o ) isn't so wee now - looked like she was having a great time!!
We just don't seem to get snow here, being so close to the sea.
Better not show Cocoa the pics, she'll be getting jealous!!:D

You look like a lumberjack, but you're OK. (Appologies to Monty Python)

Glad to see the dug's lost her second heid :)

Great shots Ronno.

Eva is a lucky dog getting to places like that for a walk, I bet she would be up for Jocks Road too given half a chance :thumb

Ronno,

you were spotted earlier as you made your way up the glen. I am glad to see you pit on your winter woollies for the walk mind you :augie
