Had my watch from new for 20 years. Always worn. Sat at my desk this week and raised my arm. Clatter! Watch hit the desk. bracelet steel pin has broken. I did not bang the watch, hit nothing recently that I know of. Glad I was at my desk and not on a bike or out and about in water! Took it to the clock clinic. They cannot repair it as its the steel bar within the last link of the bracelet. Its not a spring bar, its the riveted/assembled bar that has broken. Watch maker reckons Rolex will just tell me to replace the entire bracelet, which from research/previous conversations with Rolex, will be about about £2500. Its not a replaceable /serviceable part as I understand it, it'll need drilling out apparently. Do I stand a chance of good will or any other avenue to get it repaired? sorry for stealing pic from this site (free bump) Its the pin that cannot be seen but is highlighted in the photo

Exactly the same happened to my sub but on the bike, pulled my glove off and the watch was just hanging by my jacket cuff, very lucky, I took it to a local decent watch guy who fixed it for around £25 if I remember correctly and its been worn ever since !!
Dont panic you dont have to spend that sort of money to get it sorted, Ive heard of Seth, im sure he will sort it for you

thanks, going to contact Seth soon as I get the watch back this week. Ill update the post as and when. Thanks all

these are the pre photos. When I get it back I’ll post post photos 🤣. He has also offered to remove a dent in the bracelet and oldish it all. Rolex just wanted me to replace it all. Very impressive so far

Just making enquiries with Seth regarding my droopy Sub 👍🏾

Finally received my Submariner bracelet back from Seth; he's done a cracking job, however it has taken over a year. He did apologise and discounted the final invoice but it would appear that at some point the bracelet and my details became separated 🙄
Compare the flex shown below, with that shown in #14
