Godzilla has arrived

So you have gone from a fast lithe water cooled GS to a heavy slow cumbersome GS......................... And paid probably in excess of £5K for the pleasure.

I toyed with the idea myself not long ago, but the 2014 GS is the one to have from what I have read..................... All 2015 GS's are slower.
I don't get it...................... ?

But hey, if we were all the same.................... Hope you enjoy your new steed.

I had a 2013 and swopped to the GSA I don't see any difference in performance and I don't hang about yes it's heavier when full of fuel but still handles brilliantly
Personally I would by another GSA rather than the GS

Thanks.:thumb But £5k? You're way off the mark!:D

I've got a s1r too. Hex head in garage together with a big harley ( for sale ).

Looking to buy a GSA in March so will order January? Is it 3 months wait?

To be honest I took the GSA out for a test ride the same day as the test ride on s1r. Was more impressed with GSA than the s1r.

However since picking up my s1000 I have done 2000 miles in three weeks - with 2 track days. What a bike!

The wait should only be around 4-6 weeks, but there are always bikes floating around in the system, so sometimes you can grab one quicker. Mine came with the wrong spec, but the dealer managed to source another within 2 weeks. They grabbed it a couple of days before it was built, so I could still change the spec/ colour.:thumb

Cheers all.:thumb Top box now fitted, with some of Humvee's finest decals. Tinted screen also fitted, and I'm taking the pannier rails off shortly, so will update with some more pictures.:D

Popped into local dealer to test water on possibly trading in my 21 month old 12,000 mile K1600GT for a new GSA with shift pro and luggage. Quoted £6,000 to change! Yet a new GT to same spec as mine is £21,000+..............

Having already purchased 7 new BMW's from said dealership in last 10 yrs was not that impressed to say the least - and will probably retain the GT as do not want to give away 6K in addition to some of the features of the GT.

Regards

Why are you taking the rails off ? Look like they give a bit of protection in a drop ? I do think it looks a bit svelte without though

I don't have panniers, so don't really need them. They get in the way when I clean the bike!:P

Top box and Tankbag is all you need on your travels, looks much more sexy without all that scaffolding

I recently did a 10 day trip to Austria and Slovenia and had just a soft bag and small tank bag.

Plenty of room to spare as well  however when I go on my camping trips :ymca i will use side panniers as well :D
