I know it has been covered before but there are lots of conflicting answers.
Use WD40, don’t use WD40
Use brake cleaner, don’t use brake cleaner
Use ACF50 50, don’t …. Etc etc.
My 2021 bike had nano coating applied when new which does not help at all and a waste of £350. , but that’s another topic.
So how do I get them clean, and keep them clean?

Thanks.

Wheel cleaner and a soft brush seem to work for me ok, usually have to go over it again with a cloth just to get any missed bits.

None whatsoever. They’re like they came out of the box and they’re nearly five years old now.

I assume you are talking about the GSA spoked wheels as they are a strange porous metal unlike other wheels?

When I first saw the gold wheels I thought to myself how the hell do you keep them looking nice. I had the GSA black wheels and my regime was sdoc 100 for a few seconds, wash off and then a wipe over with ACF50 and then ACF 50 with a paint brush in the spoke nuts.

The oil would attract dust but I knew underneath was protected and it worked very well.

I think gold would be the same but more effort and frequency required.

Castrol Greentec diluted 50/50 works well to clean road muck off the gold or black rims and bike in general. Then polish wheels with Poorboys Wheel Sealant which acts as a protective layer for all wheels especially alloys, keeps brake dust at bay. Unfortunately it’s a never ending circle of cleaning and polishing.

Muc Off Bike Cleaner, soft brush & rinse off.

Vulcanet wipes, the only magic product that actually works as well as they claim

Clean the whole bike with them, it’ll come up like new, even matt paint :thumb2

I agree. Good stuff.

Muc Off Bike Cleaner, soft brush & rinse off.

Just be sure you rinse it all off, then rinse again. My mate used it on his New AT and missed a bit, it took the gold finish off in just over a day.

Ph neural detergent, two bucket method. Unless you haven't washed it in eons or have driven through newly laid tarmac, it's all you need. Thereafter, either wash frequently, or acf50. Wheel cleaners and potions rarely needed.

Best cleaner I've used in 50+ years is Sonax. My daughter had a Jetta with years of red brake dust baked on, tried a bunch cleaners, even tried acetone, nothing touch it and figured we'd have to re-paint the rims. Put on the Sonax, let it sit for about 15 minutes and the dust came right off, paint underneath looked like new. It's safe for both paint and alloy rims. This along with a Daytona Speed brush makes looking after the rims fairly easy. Also the brush is very soft and paint safe, and I use it to get between all engine and frame etc.
