Wed. 30th March, I have a one-way ferry booked, Plymouth to Santander.

Other than arriving in Spain on the 31st. I have no set plans until late June.

If you wish to see how it all goes, you can click on HTTP://www.mikeprince.typepad.com I won't be posting my ride report here on this forum to avoid using up Bandwidth and so that friends etc. who are not members can follow it.

I hope to keep the weblog up to date with entries and photos's, if not daily, as regularly as access allows.

I apologise in advance to those of you who are expecting something up to Mike O's enjoyable standards.

If you visit the weblog now, I'm afraid you will have to wade through a load of stuff about the bike and equipment that was intended for non-motorcycling friends and family.

Whatever page opens, you can access the latest entry via the links on the right. There are monthly archives on the right too. Clicking on the pictures will open them in another window in larger format.

Only two days to go! Can't wait:)

you hansome devil you:rolleyes:

Only 'cos they're so lightweight, all that plastic stuff that breaks so easily! :P

Clive, let me know when you have any definative plans and I'll be in touch to arrange an RV.

Thanks everyone for your good wishes.

Right behind you...

but heading East. Hope to meet up with you and maybe Clive in a couple of months or so when I return into Western Europe from Turkey and some in between!
Keep in touch.
Enjoy!

Its a small world. This has to be our man........Ex cop mate of mine now works down south just emailed me this (edited)

Mark

Thought of you today - sat in the office at the Test Station and the local
P/Sgt biker came in with a bloke on a BM R1150 GS Adventure. Wanted to weigh it before catching the ferry to Santander. It was new, with more extras than you could shake a stick at - Remote adjustable Ohlins shock, big alloy panniers, Sat Nav, high screen, extra lights, tent and minimal luggage in
waterproof bags, all the posh BMW touring kit, like Ewan Mcgregor.

Assume he was single. One-way ticket and was just going off with no plans or
route 'til he had had enough ! Can't fault the chap.

Twas me!

Me and the bike weighed in at 460 Kilos!

Hope to have the old weblog updated soon. Having trouble accessing the site!

Mike

Happy adventuring.

I'll keep up to date with your travels.

Yes, I'm jealous.

Bon Voyage, Mike!

Have reached southern Catalunya. Weather great. The main problem is up-dating my weblog. I have been making daily entries on my laptop and storing photo's etc. but after trying a dozen internet cafes in Alicante with no success, I've no way so far of transfering the entries.

I hope to find a wireless signal soon! maybe then?

Here's to all of you going to Lands End. I hope you have the sort of weather for camping that I have had.

Will stay here for three days or so then head for La Belle France via the Pyrenees. I've got my winter woolies all ready!

Seems strange to be heading north but my budget is tighter than I had planned (things have got more expensive in Spain since my last real visit).

Mike.

Yo Mike

Are you getting my emails? no replies so guess you're having connection problems.
I am in Wien where I have had my 6000 mile service and TKC fitted amongs aother bits but don't weigh as much as you!!
Plan is leaving Wien on 14th April heading to Hungary, visiting there then onto Romania & Carpathians then southwards throúgh Bulgaria to Turkey. Are you still amind to do Turkey?
Could meet you in Greece or Istanbul.
After Turkey , Greece then ferry from Greece to Southern Italy which was your favourite route.
Just a thought.
Keep me posted by email - cheers
Bertrand
