Gone back to a 1250

No, but I borrowed a standard 1300 as a half-day loaner/demonstrator and hated it.

Dealers thought they might blag a sale out of me, asking for feedback. I told them I thought it was disappointing.

Got my 1250GSA back after a service and it felt like putting on a pair of my favourite slippers.

24,000 miles here so far in 15 months (R1300 GSA) perfect in everyway. Only thing that comes near? my old 13 plate 1200 GSA 30th Anniversary.

I only have a few issues with them.
Spares, have they overcome the supply issues?
Cc. I have a 1250 because of the torque that it knocks out. If they can give me something with the same amount, I’m interested.
Shaft drive. I’m too old to be dicking about with chain drive. Just not interested.

Probably still a few years away.

Nope, the 1300 is brilliant

No love my GSA. ASA 😎😎

I love mine too . Great bike . No issues here

It took a 4000 mile trip to Norway for me to gel with the 1300.If my 1250 hadn't been due for a change i wouldnt have swapped, the 1300 is more of an evolution rather than a substantial upgrade in my opinion.
The engine in the 1250 sounds much nicer ,the 1300 makes a terrible racket along with the whine it makes but I've got used to it now.
Pillion comfort is also not as good but again my wife has got used to it,11,000 miles In with trips to Norway and the Pyrenees.
I'd happily try other brands but for 2 up riding Ive struggled to find anything that suits us.The Multi came the closest.

Test rode both the 1250GS and 1250GSA twice, then the 1300GS.

I found the 13 quicker, nimbler and - to my eyes - better looking.

Really like the dash and interface.

But it's not perfect. Less comfortable than the 1250 until I fitted the Wunderlich seat, SW Moto pegs (a touch lower), bar risers and screen deflector - pending replacement with a Puig / WRS Caponord.

Linked brakes are a pain, and the quickshifter is not a patch on the Triumph one.

But yes, overall, it's a nice evolution.
