Good vibraaaaations?

Vibrations in the foot rests at about 65/70 mph. Seem to come and go and I haven't come to any conclusion as to whether this is driveline or engine. Accelrating dosen't seem to be a factor any more than slowing down--only speed.All this comes about because this is a new bike (to me) after my 100rs where after 110k+ miles I knew what was supposed to be vibrating.If you were in a car these (1100gs) vibrations would be similar to a bad u-joint.So whats the consensus--normal?or what?
Oh yeah--it's a '98 1100gs--sorry lads.

Part worn Tourances? they can vibrate and scare the cr@p out of you after you have read all of the threads on gearbox and final drive problems
These bikes respond well to good valve setup and throttle body balance.

VIBRAAAATIONS

New Tourance on the back,but, the idea of driveline problems has certainly crossed and re-crossed my mind.
I'll do a v/adjustment--this also "cures" engine vibes on 100rs that I own so maybe on the gs.
If this doesn't "cure" the problem what is the procedure for determining engine vs driveline. Any thoughts out there.

Pull in the clutch whilst travelling at the speed which it vibrates. If the vibes disappear, its unlikely to be the tyres/drive etc.

Balance your throttles accurately . Mine was vibrating like a bastard recently. One turn on the l/h adjuster was all that was needed to regain smoothness...... or what passes for smoothness on a gs.
