Looking at adding a hugger and a oilcooler protector once I get over the cash deficit...

I read everything on this site about the K1200R/K1300R than took the plunge and traded the 1200GS in for a K1300R Dynamic. OMG I love it, <gulp> more than the GS. I wish I could have kept both but........... So now SWMBO and I are getting used to the new bike. SWMBO loves it, especially the gear shift assist which makes gear changes increadably smooth. The bike has awsome power and I can easily potter about at 30mph in 6th gear, twist the throttle and away we go with no hesitation. I agree with all Stu C's comments. Both bikes are great but at the moment the KR makes me smile much more than the GS did.

St c, I have had one for the last five years, a brilliant bike, went out yesterday and always puts a smile back on my face, sometimes has me squealing like a teenager in my helmet ! Can be brutal when you pin the throttle. The mirrors are useless over 95 so take extra care. I can recomend the MRA vario screen which takes the wind blast off your helmet and shoulders making high speeds very comfortable indeed. I was tempted to change back to the Boxer but every time get on the K I am love struck. Mike:D

I had exactly the same bike a year ago. Very underestimated bike. Plenty quick enough, good range, comfortable and reliable.

Yearned to be bac on a Ducati so swapped it for my 999s. Now want to swap that for an R1150GSA. Wife not happy.

I regret getting rid of the K12.

I tried one for a day. before buying a GS.

I loved it apart from aching wrists.

The only sensation of how fast it was accelerating was to see cars disappearing behind you in the mirrors!

Had the k1200r for a few years, rocketship, took me from Madeira isl to Lofoten in Norway, and a few other long EU trips, servicing costs forced me to get rid of it, shocked at the 35k one, Cork BMW charged 729€ and that did not include tires, dont think the engine is up to heavy mileage, clutch had to be replaced, cam chain & sprockets too, enjoyed 57,000 km on it
