Does anyone know if its possible to transfer a route on google maps onto a garmin zumo 660 ?.

I've heard of it being done using some other program... seems a bit of a faff, why not use mapsource? which is made for the job and works a treat.

TYRE (trace your route everywhere) is designed for TomTom but you can export the route as a .gpx file so the Garmin can read it. Create routes in Google Earth or Maps.

Your right about using th normal map software. But a mate has sent me a route he has put together using google maps and i want to put it on my garmin.

TYRE is PC only software - can't find anything that actually works on a Mac.

Yes is the answer use a convertor programme such as GPSBabel.

Pretty much converts anything to anything but word of warning its not without its faults.
