Been looking getting helmet cam,

no matter how much check others out all seem inferior to gro pro sadly as i hate look and bulk of them

but been looking on gopro website and they are 399 dollars or 295 euro for hero 3+ black

$399 = €295 almost exactly.
You also run the risk of being charged VAT on it at the point of entry.

This is the one you want John, cheaper than the GoPro and an excellent camera. I have the precious model and I can't fault it. And you been technical and all that, you'll be able to power it off the bike for hours and hours of videoing or taking photos, or at least until my memory card is full...

Was going avoid car but seeing if could get someond to just throw it in bag sn way home

Was looking at the drift but was getting mixed reviews. That and lad in work had gopro snd were going try sey up for 3d offroading

Don't forget to factor in the state tax........ A few states don't have it, but it can add 15%

i am tied ideally the voi pov HD is the ultimate one and meets all my needs except awful expensive and the lead is meant be iffy and replacement is over 200 sterling

Careful now, there are issues with the Hero3+ related to infinity focusing, it doesn't, it is great for selfies, anything beyond 4 feet will appear slightly blurred, an updated firmware was released recently but does not address this, Gopro have taken many back and "repaired" them, there is little way of knowing if the camera you buy has the problem until you open the box and test it, latest models should be ok but Gopro are giving no details out
Old stock will more than likely have the problem

Gopro Hero 4 due to be released later in the year should address the problem

They stock gopro, you may get a good price(?).

Awesome kit,I have a few vids from the duke but need to edit.

Make sure you buy the right (high) spec sd card,they aint too dear.

Money well spent .

What they dont tell you that is that is only on close up videos (Selfies)

The latest firmware only addressed image sharpness and not the focusing issue

Nah, highest state tax is Tennessee and it's like 9.5%. Most states have around 6%. And, most states don't have any sales tax at all on items shipped into the state from another state.
If ya want, ship it to me and I'll forward it on as a "gift" - ya might get lucky with the VAT that way.

Cycle superstore had the Hero 3 black edition for €330 before Chrimbo. Worth a phone call and you don't take the chance on VAT on import.
