and this as well...
Spybot can find it and although it says it has fixed it, it hasn't.
Avast can't shift it.
How can I get rid?
It's doing my head in.

Zlob.Downloader.oid is what Spybot is picking up.

Yeah, I've been looking at that but the downside is it's only the scan that's free, to remove zlob you have to pay to download the tool. Seems just as bad as all the other pop-ups I've been getting and I've been getting a few.
I don't know which are just scams to get money out of you and which are genuine, that's why I prefer free sites like Avast and Spybot as they have nothing to gain.
That, and I'm tight. :augie

Some info for cleaning

http://www.symantec.com/security_response/writeup.jsp?docid=2005-042316-2917-99&tabid=3

Adaware is free and very good

I have bit defender as a virus checker and find it very good, it also found a trojan on my pc recently

Run all of these, if they don't work run them all again in safe mode.

Best of luck:thumb2

Also if you have system restore active it may be hiding in there and pop up again when you think its all clear. Best to turn it off before removal.;)

Follow Flinglonger's advice

Turn of system restore before scanning with anti virus and Anti spy ware program Turn it back on after rebooting as it reinfects each time you reboot without turning off system restore.

For future ref get HiJackThis, a free and very useful tool. Initially, you may want to run the scan and post the results here before deciding on any items to remove :)

Thanks fellas :thumb2
After much farting around downloading different spyware and such I think I've managed to shift it. The one that seemed to do the trick was Superantispyware.
Spybot, Adaware and AVG anti-spyware couldn't shift it. :nenau
