Personally, I`m not feeling the lurve................
Geezers, I`ve put something together regarding a rad guard - there`s already a slotted SS one on the market (so that's fine) but I`ve gone to design something which is somewhat more interesting and artistic, as well as offering some protection. The basic slotted one is uninspiring and, IMHO, one with much more `artwork` on it like below isn`t really doing it for me.................
Gonna see what it looks like `black`. Naturally, I respect anyones opinions otherwise, and TBH I`ve already had someone say that it was very nice. Eye of the beholder eh................

Anti theft brace for the clocks
Now then fella`s - this is the anti theft device for the clocks I`ve come up with. A little history............ I was approached by a BMW dealer to design an anti theft device for the clocks for the S1000RR as, seemingly, scrote bag thieves were simply pulling out a couple of locating clips on the clocks and pinching them never to be seen again until someone of either an African or Eastern European background put them on eBay. I was told that this was happening in the cities, understandably. Soooo, I made a brace and I`ve sold quite a few
The thing is that the S1000XR has the same clocks. Albeit the access to the clips seems to be covered by a plaggy cover its still possible to quickly nick many hundreds of pounds worth of clocks.
Here`s my solution - a 2mm thick SS brace bolted onto the satnav mount (no drilling!). Its near b*stard impossible to fit, requiring a strip down of the front screen and the dexterity of a gynaecologist - the fasteners are shielded by the brace itself, so nicking the clocks is going to be sooooo hard the thieving little f*cking shits will try elsewhere (hopefully).
Its also a very sexy bit of geometry.............

Mark, I think that the design of the cut-outs, along with the cross, look like something that would be more at home on a rather nasty streetfighter'd Suzuki Bandit. Probably one with a yellow fly screen, purple bar ends and ridden by someone who reads too many issues of Kerrang!

Google up pictures of the radiator guards for the Triumph Explorer, which also has a large radiator. Maybe ignore (or alter) those that have a sometimes tasteless maker's logo or some other message across the middle and see if some of those on offer might be altered to suit.
The fancy design elements on the XR and the RR / R variants are limited to the 'Shark gill' cutouts, everything else - except the asymmetric lights and instruments - are remarkably plain.

Having seen that Rad guard in the flesh it is a work of art although I agree on the gothic cross bit !
The way mark has the fitment is also very very good with no tie wraps ( always a bonus)
I already have the Evotech so not in the market but the quality of Marks products is second to none and i would certainly have had one if they had been around at the time
