Got mine on Wednesday - what do I make first.................

I've been speaking with Mark about heavier bar end weights. I've also mentioned it on the XR forums, as there are no UK manufacturers at the moment. So far, we have around 10 people interested in them (as long as they aren't too expensive), so who here would be interested in them, if Mark makes them?

FYI, Hooters, HMVP in the US made an initial batch of 75 last week, and they've sold out already, so the demand for these is high.:thumb

Why do you need heavier bar end weights ? I thought your Penis Extension, oops, sorry XR was the only vibe-free one in the UK ?

I don't. But as there are people in the UK that want them, it would be a good product for Mark to make, rather than having to order from the US.

How's that hairdressers car of yours?:D

While I had a few moments to have a dump.................

While I had a few moments to have a dump.................

I was thinking - I do have a problem with how far my bike leans over - yes I know its because I need to man up, have no balls and all of the other issues I have :D but, nonetheless for me the bike seems to just keeeeeeep on going when going onto side stand and if I`m on a camber then its a right old haul to get it up (so the missus always says anyway - ooeerr missus).

Sooooo, I`ve designed this - yes I know it won`t be most peoples cup of tea and TBH I don`t really like something Gary Glitter would be happy to wear hanging off my side stand but, for me, it works - it puts the bike at a much better user friendly angle! And in the dark with sunglasses on it doesn`t look that bad......

Sadly I think its one of the very rare items that I can`t make at a good/fair price - they take ages to make because its made up in sections...........:blast which is good for adjust-ability but awful for viability

btw its only a prototype.

So, what do I do next? Sounds like bar ends..............

Yup

Yes please count me in,

Count me in as well please as long as they are black, and ideally the same size as the originals as I have the R&G handlebar crash bungs fitted.

Sorry pal but they will literally be at the end of the bars, in addition to the original ones and outside of the plastic hand grip..........

The HMVP ones replace the stock ones, and fit inside the handguards.:rob

That's over 10 now, so if you did a run of 20, they'd sell quickly.:thumb

If I had a pound for every time someone said that..............:D

have you got a link to the HVMP ones so I can take a look - but anyhooo mine will sit outside the handgrips I think, If I do them.

But if they are the same size as the originals they won`t work as the bars need extra weights????........... apologies if I am missing anything here fella!

There's look slightly bigger, but the handguards can be moved outwards, slightly.

Not sure about that. The OEM ones are very light, in fact they feel like they're made out of alloy and they are much lighter than my old GS ones. I know that because I dropped a GS LC one onto my rocker cover and it chipped the cover. The XR ones wouldn't mark a piece of cheese! Seeing as the hand guards and the R&G crash bungs are the same as for the GS then maybe the GS ones will work.

ah I see, I just thought they had made them from a `heavy` material

Here you go. Slightly bigger, but they still fit within the handguards :thumb

Got it, Nuts, designing today with drawings going to manufacturing next week. Item is 10mm longer and slightly, and very slightly, wider to add the needed weight..............

We shall see what comes of it eh?

Evotech are planning some, and it looks like theirs fit either side of the handguards.

I would have thought this would be the best option as the bigger ones when fitted looked to distort the hand guard.

Malc

Yep, I thought the same. They didn't look quite right, did they?

Your looking at a picture and tbh it can be deceiving, I'd suggest you go and undo your hand-guard bolt and just pull the hand-guard out slightly to replicate the new bar ends, I'm sure you will see all is well.

The evotech ones look shite, they cannot be bothered to machine something up that looks factory, so opt for the default option! I expected better from em tbh, being as small as they look I'd be surprised if they weigh the necessary weight to move the vibes .
