Got the green light....Thunderbirds are go!!!

Tues 21st July.

Today Roberto would be saying goodbye to us and heading home. It was a pure pleasure having his company for a few days.

So, another sunny day for us:

Once we had fuelled up, we were off.

Approaching lunchtime, we saw Restaurant Cafe de France in Sarrancolin, and as it was quite busy, decided we to stop:

And bloody glad we did!!!

The afternoon would see plenty of sun, lovely roads & splendid scenery:

A little further on a lay-by presented us with a couple of items relating to Spanish Tour de France riders:

I thought Nutty had said French side only for your trip
You are now fast approaching one of my favourite bits of road on the C-28, like a scalectric track

You are aware of the Self Quarantine on your return now aren't you ?

We got back on Saturday night, two and a half hours before the quarantine rules apply. ;)

I was going to put another picture of that salad, as it was sensational, but it’ll only make me hungry! So have another one of the bikes instead. :D

So approaching the back of the afternoon & our digs for the evening in Vielha, we decided to swing by a jet wash to clean off the grit, tar, cement dust and dead insects that had accumulated over the past few days:

Looked as though you lads had some decent weather.

Looked as though you lads had some decent weather.

We did....dry & sunny all week.

The first drop of rain we encountered was 20km from Cherbourg on our return day to the UK.

Hope the sun continues to shine for you

Keith,
What screen have you got on yours, as my original is scratched to feck

Hi Neil

I’ve got a Puig double bubble sports screen & an MRA x-creen clip on spoiler.

The Parador was great. I enjoyed clearing the pool when I did a few lengths; apparently you’re not meant to actually swim properly in it! And as for the lack of vegetation with dinner, don’t get me started on that.

Glad you enjoyed the Parador! (I've just cancelled our last potential Parador bookings for the year...)

You had amazing weather. Those views...

Ooh just spotted this, love a Bounce trip report, especially when it's another multi-centre mini-break and there's lots of lovely pics of mountains (and food!) :beerjug:

Looks like you had a fab time. It's a fantastic part of the world to be on two wheels, (pics brought back memories of all the times I've cycled up those Cols!). Reminded me I just need to get my sh~t together and get over there again soon.

Hope your bash plate survived the journey Keith? :D
