I friend has ask me this:

Does anybody know of a web site - or even a publication - which gives a
reasonable overview of sat nav for people like me who can't be bothered
with all the technobabble?

Basically all I want is a system which will warn me of impending traffic
jams - unlike the radio, which only ever tells me about the jam I am
sitting in - and plots me a way round it. How do I find out what is the
most suitable option, without spending hours in Halfords - or worse, PC
World - trying to find the one person there who actually knows anything
about the subject and can explain it words of one syllable?

Is there such a web site. I did think about this august forum, but he's a 4 wheeler rather than 2...

Try pointing him at the GpsPasSion Forums Very broad base of users (both in number of wheels and GPS skills/knowledge ) and many questions like your mate has asked you already answered...
