Well I’ve done it, hard wired the SP III to the GS. Much easier than I thought, I was worried I would hurt my best friend.

Spent a lot of time reading the threads on the site, on the best way to wire it up.

In spite of the advice everything went wonderfully easy, connected it to the aux socket wiring, I elected to leave the inline fuse on so that if required I can always pull the fuse to isolate it.

All I need now is the helmet speaker with the 2mm plug to fit the SP III, any ideas guys & gals.

Thanks to one & all who posted sound advice.

Nokia

You can try a Nokia Mobile phone headset. I am using one at the moment cos I don't want to start hacking my new Shoei about. Works fine well actually better than the autocom setup on my other helmet. With the Nokia headset I only need the volume on level 4 however, with the autocom plugged up I need to have it on level 8. The Nokia headset is a handsfree supplied with with a 7210 phone. Hope this helps.

Hi Sherpa

I’m having a new front tyre fitted early next week, so to bed it in & scrub it off I intend taking a ride down to Rainbow’s to get a speaker set. Thanks for the info.:)

Remember the destination is only an excuse. :D
