having spent a couple of evenings doing just this .edit: i now think basecamp is struggling with so much info. program is very slow and unresponsive.

i had the same problem.
gimme a minute and i'll upload the .gpx file i created to import to my Basecamp
gpx LINK
try that.
i think Basecamp's preferred format is gpx and although it can import gdp files, it baulks at one that big. maybe?![]()
Cookie: I've tried your link but unfortunately it seems to be provide pages of script but not a downloadable file.

that's what i thought.
i next tried opening them in mapsource running on VMfusion on the mac, which worked. then converting to gpx files, which didn't.
next i transferred your gdb file over to my steam driven windows machine, which opened, converted and saved to gpx format (eventually). the gdb file was 39MB - gpx is 72MB
imported the gpx file back into mac and basecamp and it opens fine
edit: i now think basecamp is struggling with so much info. program is quite slow and unresponsive.

so it does - it seems to download the file direct to the browser as text
try this right click on link and choose Download Linked File. that's on a Mac, but i'm sure there's something similar in windows.

Useful information, thank you
In September a small group I am part of are doing an 8 day 2 hotel trip to Germany, the first 4 nights we're staying in Hullen a small town on the B 528 slightly North & West of the Nurbergring, if I were to ask (I hesitate) for some recommendations for routes to keep us occupied and interested in this area for 4 days what would you suggest? I am not overly familiar with this area having mostly just passed through en-route to destinations further South.
We seem to be o.k. for routes for the second 4 days which is further South and slightly East of Offenburg.
Thanks in advance biker mate![]()
