The latest issue of Motorrad Strassen has a piece on seven suggested routes in the Black Forest, along with the usual Tour Codes to allow downloads into Kurviger.

They might be useful to bods here, as instant holiday jaunts.

They all download well and display equally well, ready to use or amend as bods see fit. Here’s a sample:

PS Before anyone starts moaning, only one of the suggested routes uses a section of the B500.

Some good routes there. #7 includes one of my favourite roads in the Black Forest over Schauinsland. You will need to ride it on a weekday as it is closed to bikes on weekends. The best advice for the Black Forest is to go on weekdays anyway. Less traffic, especially bicycles and fewer police.
You can check the routes using the interactive map at https://urbanaccessregulations.eu/c...any-mainmenu-61/germany-motorcycle-noise-bans
If a road has SaSo on the label when you click on the icon then this means closed to bikes on Saturday and Sunday (Sonntag). The sign will be a red circle with a motorcycle inside. The hours of the restriction are given on a white sign under the red circle. The map also includes roads in Austria and Switzerland with restrictions. Some of those will be noise restrictions such as 95dB in the Tirol.

The same article also has suggestions for six hotels, each of which has supplied two suggested jaunts ie. 12 in all.

They all download well, using the Tourcodes. Instant holidays (all you have to do is get there and back) all for free.

This is a very nice family run hotel in Buhlertal close to some of these routes. A village a few km from Baden Baden and the B500. It sits in the Baden wine region. Ask for a room at the rear with a vineyard view. Excellent restaurant and the room rates include breakfast. The village has a couple of bars and restaurants, a good bakery with cafe, a bank and the obligatory kebab shop. The hotel restaurant is closed one night of the week but we walked about 100m to an excellent Greek restaurant. http://hotel-adler-buehlertal.de/

Looking at the map, you could chose say three (suitably placed) locations, spending perhaps two or three nights in each and ‘Do the lot’.
