Gran Canaria

Bikes on the trip: we always get bikes that we don’t own / haven’t ridden. This time it was:

Ducati Desert X v2. Hired the first version two years ago and liked it. Plenty of power, good handling for GC, great brakes and gear box with a quick shifter but the seat was as hard as a whores heart. Surprisingly hard suspension but it was likely set up for the road.

Ducati Multistrada V2. Comfortable, nice gearbox with quick shifter, did everything well. My bike of the trip.

Suzuki Gsx8TT. Had one of these in Feb. For a cheap bike it is perfect for the roads in GC, I really enjoyed it with the only issue being my legs were a wee bit cramped. It handled beautifully. I would thoroughly recommend this.

Triumph Tiger 900 GT Pro. The triple engine on this is sublime, good pull from low revs to plenty of power at high revs. It did everything well apart from excite me. Call me shallow but it should have been the best but I was left felling it was a bit bland.

Going to try a 900Gs and 12g/s in February. Might move there..
