Morning all
I’m thinking of changing to green flag as it’s significantly cheaper than equivalent cover from my current policy.
What’s the collective’s opinion of green flag pls.

Britannia and Green Flag are the only companies I would use for UK/Europe breakdown.

Green Flag sell a very good value UK/Europe policy via comparison sites. If you only need UK cover then you can get Britannia from a comparison site.

I’m with Britannia now, have been for 29 years. Since they’ve been taken over by Aviva (IIRC) it’s getting expensive.

I bought my UK/Euro policy with LV Britannia via Moneysupermarket. They only sell a UK policy there now but continue to renew my policy. I have personal cover in the UK and Euro on the bike. As the bike is under the Moto Guzzi warranty with Europ Assist cover, they only wanted £43 at renewal. I kept it going to have the UK personal cover plus there are some Euro benefits the Guzzi policy does not have such as hire car or hotel.
I imagine my premium will go up next renewal once the Guzzi is out of warranty. Might cost me the full £63 again (50 standard plus 13 top up for personal)

Allianz bought LV, who owned Britannia.

I’ve just read the green flag policy booklet and it seems as good as Britannia at just over half the price. Very interesting

I'm currently with Green Flag, but have thankfully not had to use them (touch wood). I have personal cover, with roadside assistance, at, home. national recovery, alternate accommodation, car hire etc. It cost about £64.
One thing that struck me when reading through the details is that if you get a puncture and it can't be fixed at the roadside they will only recover you for a maximum of ten miles. Both my bikes run tubeless tyres so likely I'd be able to repair it myself, but if you have inner tubes there might be a problem, especially at night when most tyre places are shut, or you are out in the wilds of Scotland.

Yes i noticed that, but in the policy booklet there is a couple of mentions of exemptions which may help in such a situation.
However, as its just about half the price of Brittannia i have to accept such shortcomings.
Incidentally, I rang Brittania up and asked what the price is without Boundless membership. It actually increased from £164 to over £200.
