Hi, still haven’t got my bike yet (told October, we will see!) any how, I have been reading all the posts on this fantastic forum, some very well informed and funny people out there.

now to my question, do we, the northern members (darlington/Durham) do this greenlanning thing, in this area, and do we do a novice type day for us newbies.

cheers for all the laughs so far, great group and forum

I`ve moved this to the more appropriate Northern Forum,so the local GSers can hopefully answer your questions.

Another way is to go to get in touch with your counties rights of way officer, arrange an appointment and turn up with the O/S maps for your area they will allow you access to the definitive rights of way map for the county. From that you can mark any B.O.A.T's etc on your own maps and then you are fully legal, you will find numerous vehicular accesses which are not shown on any of the O/S maps but can be ridden.
P.S The county council must keep a definitive rights of way map and must allow any interested parties access to the same.
