Hi Tossers
Does anyone know if there is any good laning to be done in the north east have tried a few off road centers not realy my bag too much round and round.Been on a few runs but all seem to involve riding 30 miles on road to ride 1 mile off.Seems the south does not have this problem. There must be some good days out round here, any advice or invites greatly appreciated.
Lets get something going up north it seems very quite compared to other areas.
Seems a few more north eastern members have appeared how about trying to plan a meet somewhere i mean on road as well as off, maybe hartside for a pie and a fag?.Would look forward to meeting new freinds and having a good ride out.:beerjug:

Everytime I've organised one in Yorkshire...........it's not been that well supported so I tend to go to other GS ones

Surely the local council should be able to give you a list, or at least let you look at a map showing where the legal lanes are.

Council have a list of Green lanes................you're having a laugh

Have a look on the TBM site and find a user called 'Sparticus'. He's from that area and is by all accounts a bloody good rider and a nice lad as well.

Tell him the LARF boys sent you.

Ride where ever you like

I've come to the conclusion that theres too much fannying around trying to do this trail riding stuff legally so i've a new aproach.
early morning only flicks, where your up at 5/6am and have a route planned where you only cover the ground once. enjoy the blast and don't stop where there's houses, shops or dogwalkers. me and a few mates did this for a couple of years, nobody ever knew we were there because by the time they heard the bikes we'd gone. I know its not Legal but on the basis I feel the green lanes were illegally stolen from us i think I have the right. Why can't i use a lane after all have you seen the state many are now in as the compas carrying brigade don't use the ones they stole from us. It's all bs if you ask me, I shall carry on as i have in the past and if i get stopped well my gps waypoint must be wrong:rolleyes:
This is ONE VERYVERY screwed up country we live in dontcha think.:thumb2

Pm me and I'll give you as much info as I can. I live at Great Broughton near Stokesley and am playing out on the hills every sunday:thumb2

I have a mate who does something similar with an O/S map. If confronted he gets out his map and agrees with his confronter that yes in fact he is completely lost and apologises profusly then carrys on his merry way :D

He's happy and so is the person who confronted him ....... I think Dale Carnegie refer to that as a win win situation :clap
