Thinking about getting one of these for light green landing / fire roads

It will go alongside my GS1300.

I have read some good reports but what are they like overall.

It will never be a long distance tourer but I would not be buying it for that.

I would not buy KTM

I have also noticed some good deals going.

CRF 300 L would make a better choice

I looked quite seriously at a 310 for greenlaning and spoke to lots of people with more knowledge and experience.

The consensus was that it’s really designed as a road bike and, although plenty of people make bits to improve it, there are better choices.

I got a CRF 300 Rally and fitted Rally Raid suspension (plus a stack of other stuff) and it has served me very well.

Noticed your location - have you joined the Southern TRF group?

I have not joined the TRF - maybe worth while
Makes things a lot easier to find lanes to ride. Either by following someone who knows where they are going or by using their Green Road Map.

Thank you all for the replies

Definitely - I’m a member of Southern and there’s some really helpful run leaders who’ve shown me some good lanes 👍🏻
