Using the heated grips has the unwanted side effect of making the throttle stick. How do I remedy this (not by switching the heated grips off thank you very much!)?

TIA

Fixed mine by just slackening off the bar end weight a quarter of a turn. Others take off the bar end weight and fit a small washer between it and the grip.

You can achieve the same by undoing the right handlebar switch mounting screws and moving the housing inwards by about 1mm

There is a dealer mod which solves this (fitting a washer as I recall but it was 5 years ago)

My dealer fixed mine for nowt as well I asked him what they did and the cure is to move the switch cluster in about 1mm as was said earlier.

Set out with the intention of moving the switchgear in a fraction but, owing to the perishing cold, gave up and fitted a 'custom made shim' (washer off something or other!) between end weight and throttle grip.

Result - no more sticky throttle. :-)

Thanks to all.

Next problem - how to get the heat to my finger tips. Anyone know of a maker of heated brake and clutch levers???

Cheers
